Templestowe Tutoring is operated by Michelle Radcliffe in Victoria, Australia. I respect the privacy of students and families and take reasonable care in collecting, using, storing and sharing personal and health information.
Information I collect
Depending on the nature of an enquiry or tutoring arrangement, I may collect:
- a parent, caregiver or student’s name and contact details;
- a child’s age, year level, availability and educational goals;
- information about learning needs, disability, health, wellbeing, NDIS arrangements or relevant family circumstances;
- information provided through emails, text messages, conversations, forms, invoices and tutoring records; and
- limited technical information collected through website hosting, security or website analytics tools.
I only seek sensitive information when it is relevant to understanding or providing the requested support.
How information is collected and used
Information is usually collected directly from a parent, caregiver or adult student. With appropriate permission, information may also be received from a school, plan manager or another professional involved in the student’s support.
I use this information to:
- respond to enquiries and assess whether my services may be suitable;
- plan and provide personalised tutoring or learning support;
- communicate with families and relevant professionals;
- prepare invoices and manage NDIS arrangements;
- maintain appropriate records; and
- meet legal, professional, safeguarding and administrative obligations.
Contact form and website information
Information submitted through the website contact form is delivered to me by email. The contact-form system does not retain a separate copy of the message in the WordPress website database.
Website hosting, email, security, analytics and other software providers may process limited information while providing their services. Depending on the provider, some information may be stored or processed outside Australia. I do not sell personal information.
Sharing information
I do not disclose personal or health information unnecessarily. Information may be shared:
- with the person’s consent, or the consent of their parent or guardian where appropriate;
- with plan managers, schools or other professionals when needed for the agreed support;
- with service providers used to operate the website or business; or
- where disclosure is required or permitted by law, including where necessary to protect someone’s safety.
Photographs, videos and illustrations
Where photographs, video clips or recognisable artistic renderings of a student appear on this website, they have been used with permission from the student’s parent or guardian. Some illustrations may be fictional or composite representations and are not intended to identify a particular student.
Storage and retention
I take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Records may be held in email, electronic files, password-protected devices and other business systems.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required to provide services, maintain necessary records and meet legal or professional obligations. When information is no longer required, reasonable steps are taken to securely delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You may ask to access personal or health information held about you or your child, or request that inaccurate information be corrected. Some legal limitations may apply.
